Offering unparalleled flame realism and brightness, the Real Flame® VividFlame™ electric firebox mimics the look of a real, flickering fire, but does not require a chimney or vents and conveniently plugs into a standard outlet. Features six flame colors, five flame brightness levels, adjustable thermostat, timer function and automatic safety shut-off. The electric fireplace insert provides supplemental heat for rooms up to 1,000 sq ft or the heater can be turned off so you can enjoy the comforting ambiance of a glowing fireplace year-round. Firebox with log set, hardware and remote control are included.
Real Flame® electric fireplaces mimic the look of a real fire but do not require a chimney or vents and plug into a standard three-prong outlet. After assembly, place your fireplace in the desired location, install the anti-topple device if required, plug into an outlet, and turn on the firebox by using the touch controls or remote control. The LED flames flicker realistically and the incorporated heater warms your room. The thermostat is adjustable so the heater can be turned off and you can enjoy the charm of a fire year-round. Customize your fireplace using the brightness settings, timer function and, in some models, flame color. Styles include traditional mantels, media cabinets and wall-mounted fireplaces.

Cozy, comfy and mere minutes to install.

My original Real Flame firebox worked well in my mantle and surround, gave me years of service, and made my living room warm and comfortable. Finally, it was time to consider a replacement. The new Real Flame firebox, which I installed today in minutes, looks even lovelier and once again I'm enjoying a comfy, cozy evening at home in spite of the cold and windy January night.

Broke after 3 years of mild use

I never used the heating element but loved the fireplace feel in my small place. Used very mildly. Started making a clicking sound at year 2 1/2. Needs a motor replacement. Customer service's response was to buy a new unit. Very disappointed.

Q: In Lights only mode. How much power does it consume in watts?

A: While only the flames/lights are running, it is only around 5 watts of power. What is providing the light is a LED light which does not consume a lot of power.
