Real Flame® electric fireplaces mimic the look of a real fire but do not require a chimney or vents and plug into a standard three-prong outlet. After assembly, place your fireplace in the desired location, install the anti-topple device if required, plug into an outlet, and turn on the firebox by using the touch controls or remote control. The LED flames flicker realistically and the incorporated heater warms your room. The thermostat is adjustable so the heater can be turned off and you can enjoy the charm of a fire year-round. Customize your fireplace using the brightness settings, timer function and, in some models, flame color. Styles include traditional mantels, media cabinets and wall-mounted fireplaces.

Q: We bought a Foster electric fireplace. We would love it except that it's missing the convenience of a remote. Most other brands have one. Pretty disappointed at this price level.

1 Answer
A: This is the only unit of ours that does not make use of a remote, since you have physical buttons to operate the unit. Our other units make use of a touch-screen and do come with remotes. Unfortunately there is no remote however that would work with this unit due to that.

Q: Is there any extension pieces to connect the pipe to a back wall? Have it against a knee wall and need the extra 5 or 6 inch of pipe.

Unfortunately there is not an option for an extension of the pipe for the unit.

Q: Does the Foster require a non-combustible hearth and surround? Can it be placed directly on composite wood flooring and against, or near, plastered and painted drywall?

1 Answer
A: No this does not require a non-combustible surround.
It can be placed directly on the flooring and facing away from walls with no issue.
